D.C. during the holiday season is a vibe.
CityCenter is normally my favorite but around the holidays it’s so much more magical. Going at dusk or night is the best because it feels super festive! My favorite thing to do is grab a hot chocolate (or matcha latte) from Dolcezza and stroll around taking in all the beautiful decorations.
Reminder: don’t forget to go see the Christmas tree right around the corner from Palmer Alley!
2. Holiday Themed Bars
Holiday themed bars keep popping up around the DC area and honestly I’m here for it. Miracle on 7th Street is a classic – but if you aren’t into waiting in line outside in the cold, Après Ski at the Conrad Hotel or Whiskey Charlie are chill alternatives.

3. The Wharf
You’d think The Wharf would be best in the summer but it’s just as dope in the winter – especially if you like s’mores (and who doesn’t like s’mores). The Wharf is best at night as well because it’s also all decorated and there’s a huge fire pit at the end of the boardwalk.
4. Georgetown Waterfront
Georgetown Waterfront is fun for grabbing a bite to eat and ice-skating after! I love all the wreaths and the cascading lights.
5. Season’s Greenings at the U.S. Botanic Garden
The Botanic Garden gets real festive during the holidays. Between the decorations and the model train room – it’s definitely worth taking a trip to! (plus the Capitol Christmas tree is visible from the entrance so win-win).

6. Downtown Holiday Market (Penn Quarter)
The Holiday Market is fun for grabbing snacks (#snacklife) or picking up some unique DC themed (or non-DC themed) gifts. It’s open November 22 to December 23 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.

7. National Harbor
Gaylord National’s Christmas on the Potomac has arguably the best indoor decorations! Grabbing a drink(s) at the hotel bar upstairs and watching the light show is a great time guys.
8. Union Station
I love Union Station. It’s so gorgeous inside and out – and when they hang the wreaths up for the holidays it just getttts me.
