Asheville, North Carolina is the perfect weekend getaway for craft beer and hiking lovers alike!
Tip: Try to plan ahead for where you want to go and make reservations whenever possible - some of the more popular places require reservations weeks in advance! There was a line at every brewery we went to (without a reservation) – and people were lining up even before the breweries opened.
Here are some of my favorite spots from the weekend:
1. Wicked Weed
Wicked Weed definitely passed the vibe check - it was by far my favorite brewery we went to! Their beer is amazing, the food was delicious, and the service was great. Honestly what more could you ask for?
2. The Funkatorium
The Funkatorium is a separate taproom that serves Wicked Weed’s “funky” / sour beers. Apparently it’s the East Coast’s first sour beer taproom! If you go here (highly recommend), you MUST get the pizza (see above) – you can thank me later.
3. Bhramari Brewing
Blue Ridge Parkway
The Blue Ridge Parkway is a beautiful, scenic drive with outlook points you can stop at to take in allll the views. If you aren’t into hiking, taking a drive along the parkway and stopping at the outlook points is a great option and you can still see amazing sights (pictured above). If you are into hiking, there are a ton of hiking trails you can try!
Food / Drink
I definitely recommend making dinner plans at Posana! It’s a chic, cozy restaurant with amazing food and great service.
Cúrate is a trendy Spanish tapas spot great for brunch or dinner!
3. The Omni Grove Park Inn
Perfect for sunset drinks with a view. The Omni Grove Park Inn is huge but feels super cozy with its massive fireplaces and upscale cottage vibes.
